Made with 100% CASSAVA harvested and made into couscous. Athieke is a fresh cassava semolina that is lightly fermented and steamed. It is eaten with grilled or fried fish, grilled meats. It is also used to make a roasts and Ivorian soups.
Moisten the Athieke flour with a cup of water. For every 400G of Athieke, use about 700ml of water. Using a steamer or couscoussier, allow it to steam for at least 20 minutes. You can also cook the wet Athieke in the microwave for 6 to 7 minutes.
